Time to relax in Durbuy

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you enjoyed last weekend just as much as I did. I'm going to give you a little tip: it's important to relax from time to time, you need to re-energize in order to keep going! That's exactly what I did this weekend. And what better place to put your mind at ease than in the Ardennes!

We visited several places but spent the night in Durbuy, the smallest -but definitely not the dullest- place in the world. We stayed at a lovely hotel: Eau De Roche. When we arrived, we had the greatest welcoming from the owners of the hotel, we got a tour around the hotel aaaand -I left out the best part- the wellness!

After being settled in our room, we were dying for food! A lot of it, and fast! Luckily, just right across our hotel there was a "Fritterie", you can't get more Belgian than eating french fries with "boulettes aux tomates".

Following our healthy -ahuuuhm- recharge, we went for a stroll in the picturesque streets of Durbuy. We discovered the cutest little local stores. You should definitely buy a jar of jam overthere, it's delicious!

But because of the heat, we could really use a break. So we decided to have a glass of rose accompanied with a light snack on the terrace of La Bru'sserie. And we actually spotted Wout Bru himself! We loved the setting so much that we made a reservation for the evening.

We decided to go back to the hotel to enjoy our lovely room and ofcourse... the pool!

Again, in need of refueling after our wellness afternoon. We went back to Le Sanglier des Ardennes to have dinner in La Bru'sserie... and OH MY, what a mounthwatering experience!

First of all, the service was "impeccable"! Secondly, the interior was to die for! Thirdly, the food was delicious. Because we weren't that hungry -like can you imangine after this day?- we decided to take 4 tapas to share; dim sum, burrata with tomatoes, a poke bowl and lobster tempura. They weren't only eyecandy, but they were so damn good too. Okay, I admit, we both ordered a second portion of 1 dish, because it was sooooo tasty! Afterwards we had a sip of armagnac from 1971, at that knocked us back into our heavenly Kingsize bed.

What a relaxing day. I feel completely ready to start a new week! We will definitely go back soon. I want to help you with this article by sayingt that you can have the perfect break, without having to travel miles for it.

Stay relaxed, treat yourself from time to time!

Sending you all my best.
